Mimika District Government in Central Papua has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the implementation of National Strategic Programmes (PSN), including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, Public Schools, and Red-White Village Cooperatives (KDMP). Regent Johannes Rettob stated that the local government continues to coordinate intensively with the central government to ensure all programmes run effectively.

The Free Nutritious Meals programme in Mimika was first launched on 28 July 2025 and is currently focused on urban areas. The local government has established 20 Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG) or nutrition kitchens and allocated land for additional development. Rettob also formed a Free Nutritious Meals Task Force led by Deputy Regent Emanuel Kemong to oversee programme implementation.

Integrated Public School 76 Mimika was inaugurated on 10 October 2025 and is currently using former athlete housing from the XX Papua PON Games as a temporary learning location. The local government has prepared a plot of 8.5 hectares in Iwaka District for permanent school construction in the future.

The Red-White Village Cooperative programme launched on 17 July 2025 has reached 125 units in Mimika, with all of them having obtained legal status. Rettob said development of several cooperative facilities is still awaiting budget support from the central government.

Mimika District Government is also implementing other supporting programmes such as free comprehensive health checks and the establishment of waste banks. Other national strategic programmes still in the coordination stage include the three million proper housing programme and the Red-White Fishermen's Village initiative.
