The Corruption Commission (KPK) seized documents following raids on 15 locations across four regions from 5–8 August 2026 related to an alleged extortion case involving suspended Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo stated that from the raids, investigators seized documents related to projects being and to be carried out by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Pemalang Regency.
The KPK also secured evidence in the form of mobile phones and electronic documents from the 15 raided locations. The locations included ten houses in Pemalang, two houses in Tegal, two houses in Pekalongan, and one house in Semarang, all belonging to parties allegedly connected to the case. Additionally, investigation teams seized CCTV recordings from a hotel in Magelang.
According to Budi Prasetyo, evidence from the 15 locations and CCTV recordings will be analysed by KPK investigators to strengthen additional evidence needed in the investigation. The analysis aims to strengthen the case construction and to determine the role of each party involved.
This raid is part of an investigation that began after the KPK conducted a hand-catch operation on 28 July 2026, which secured 21 people including Anom Widiyantoro. The KPK identified two case clusters: first, alleged extortion by Anom Widiyantoro against government officials and private parties with suspects Anom Widiyantoro and Mohamad Haris; second, alleged extortion by police officer Setya Budi Dias and his father Lilik Budi Suprianto against Anom Widiyantoro.
