The District Prosecutor's Office in Bekasi Regency, West Java, has firmly denied reports claiming that the Director of Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi, Reza Lutfi Hasan, has been named as a suspect in an alleged corruption case. Prosecutors said the information being spread on social media is false because the document underlying it has been modified by an irresponsible party.
Ronald Thomas Mendrofa, Head of the Special Crimes Section at the Bekasi District Prosecutor's Office, explained that the widely circulated letter containing claims of the suspect's designation is forged. According to Ronald, the document uses the Pidsus-5A format, which is a request for information during the investigation stage, not a letter designating a suspect.
Ronald clarified irregularities in the letter number stated in the forged document. The circulating document cited the number SP-245/M.2.31/Fd.1/12/2025, but according to Ronald the correct number is 205, not 245. Ronald said the number 245 is actually a witness summons letter for another case, namely the corruption case in Sumber Jaya Village in the name of Herman Suratno.
Ronald also stressed that Order Number 025 mentioned in the forged document is not a letter designating a suspect, but rather a request for information from witnesses during the investigation stage. For the case in question, according to Ronald, the order number is 76. The prosecutor's office is currently reporting the distribution of this forged document to its leadership to determine the next legal steps.
Ronald warned that the distribution of the document could harm investigative interests and could be categorised as obstructing an investigation or spreading false news. Fajar Gigih Wibowo, Head of the Intelligence Section at the Bekasi District Prosecutor's Office, urged the public not to immediately believe or share documents whose veracity is unclear and to confirm with the authorities before accepting circulating information.
