Malaysian MSi rider Hakim Danish failed to complete the 2026 Moto3 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit last weekend. The Terengganu-born racer was forced to abandon the race after a crash on lap six.

Hakim started the race from ninth position and managed to move into the leading group early in the race. However, midway through the race, he crashed while attempting to avoid another rider who had also fallen and tried to ride straight to escape the incident.

After the crash, Hakim attempted to continue the race but was forced to retire because his motorcycle's handlebar was broken. "I tried to get back to racing, but the bike couldn't be used to continue the race because my handlebar was broken," Hakim said according to Berita Harian.

Despite failing to finish and scoring no points, the 19-year-old rider remained thankful he did not suffer any injuries in the incident. "I felt very comfortable with my bike and was confident enough being in the leading group," he said.

The failure to complete the race caused Hakim Danish's position to drop one place in the 2026 Moto3 standings to eighth position with 86 points.
