A 70-year-old elderly woman named Ivonne reported that she was a victim of alleged abduction and robbery at an apartment in the Serpong area, South Tangerang, last Tuesday. The items reported missing include one car, a mobile phone, and several important documents.
According to Ivonne's account, the incident began when she and a friend checked into an apartment in the Serpong area to continue business matters to Bandung the following day. After arriving at the apartment unit on the 17th floor at around 8 p.m., Ivonne was asked by her friend to freshen up. When she came out of the bathroom, Ivonne found that her friend was no longer in the room and several of her belongings, including car keys and her bag, were missing.
Ivonne then discovered that the apartment unit door was locked from the outside. She tried to get out by knocking on the door until apartment security personnel arrived and forced the door open. Ivonne reported the incident to Serpong Police Station on Saturday (8/8).
Serpong Police Station Chief Kompol Hardono confirmed that abduction of an elderly person had occurred at one of the apartments in the Serpong area. Hardono said the perpetrator allegedly took several items belonging to the victim after the abduction, including a mobile phone, valuable documents, and one car. Serpong Police Station has already questioned the victim to gather information and identify the perpetrator.
