Rescue efforts are continuing after an earthquake that struck Colombia on Monday collapsed a number of buildings and infrastructure. A woman has been reported trapped in the rubble from the disaster.
Andres Burbano, a local resident, said his house was completely destroyed in the earthquake. Burbano's wife is trapped in the rubble, while he managed to escape with his daughter, though it remains unclear whether his wife can be rescued.
The earthquake occurred just days after Abelardo de la Espriella was inaugurated as president, making it the first crisis faced by Colombia's new government.
