VP Equity Retail Kiwoom Securities Indonesia Oktavianus Audi expects the IHSG to move mixed with limited upside tendency on Monday (10 August) trading, in a range with support at 6,320 and resistance at 6,480. Market movement will be influenced by domestic consumer confidence data, rupiah strength, and US inflation data, he told CNNIndonesia.com on Sunday (9 August).

Domestically, the market will monitor July 2026 consumer confidence index data expected to be at the 116 level, down from 117.8 the previous month. Rupiah strengthening to the level of Rp17,800 per US dollar is seen as a positive sentiment, supported by foreign investor buying which recorded Rp494 billion in foreign inflow in the stock market at the start of August 2026.

Oktavianus recommends shares of PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA) which closed up 1.60 per cent at 635, projected to touch 685 this week. Technical analyst MNC Securities Herditya Wicaksana expects the IHSG still has the opportunity to strengthen next week with support level at 6,112 and resistance at 6,454. Externally, investors will monitor July US inflation data expected to slow, as well as data from China also predicted to moderate. Domestically, attention is focused on second quarter 2026 company performance reports and interim dividend distributions.

Herditya recommends shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) which closed up 1.33 per cent at 456, projected to reach 520 this week. Shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) closed up 4.47 per cent at 187, projected to touch 210, and shares of PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL) closed up 5.21 per cent at 101, projected to reach 113.
