Manchester Super Giants moved to the cusp of the Hundred men's eliminator with a dominant victory over SunRisers Leeds. The Super Giants held SunRisers to 127 all out, with England bowlers Gus Atkinson taking 3-30 and Sonny Baker capturing 2-22.
Opening batters Tim Seifert and Paul Walter then guided the Super Giants to victory with balls to spare. Seifert remained unbeaten on 80 from 40 deliveries, striking seven sixes, while Walter hit 44 not out from 28 balls with three maximums. The Super Giants won by 33 balls.
The victory moved Manchester Super Giants above SunRisers into second place in the group table on net run-rate, both teams holding 20 points. The result confirmed Trent Rockets as table-toppers and confirmed their place in Sunday's final.
SunRisers now face the risk of being overtaken. MI London, in fourth place with 16 points, could still move into second or third with a win over Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday. Welsh Fire, also on 16 points, could theoretically reach 20 points but faces a match against London Spirit.
If current positions hold, Super Giants and SunRisers would meet in Friday's eliminator to determine who advances to the final alongside Trent Rockets.
