Australian selectors have retained under-pressure batter Marnus Labuschagne for next month's Test tour of South Africa. Selection chair George Bailey said on Monday that a tweak to the top order may be considered, including a possible return up the order for Steve Smith.
Sixteen players were named in the touring party, including all those involved in Australia's most recent Test, a victory over Bangladesh in Mackay. Fast bowler Michael Neser, spinner Matthew Kuhnemann and batter Cooper Connolly will join the group for the series, which starts in Durban on 9 October.
