A study of Reddit posts about the maternal Tdap vaccine found that pregnant women use the platform primarily to seek advice and reassurance, according to research published Aug. 12, 2026, in PLOS Global Public Health.

The analysis, conducted by Soojung Jo from Purdue University and colleagues, examined how expectant mothers discuss the vaccine online. The researchers found fewer instances of outright vaccine hesitancy or refusal in Tdap discussions compared with other vaccine types.
