Sheryl Crow is releasing a new album, "Pick You Up," on October 9 via Old Green Barn. The seven-track LP was co-written by Crow and longtime collaborator Jeff Trott.
The album is being led by the single "Freedom Bus," which features Jesse Welles. In a press release, Crow said the song reflects her conviction that "freedom has been paid for in the lives of others throughout history." She added that she wishes such sacrifice would be remembered "when we are interacting with each other."
Crow described the album as offering "commentary on being human and wanting connection." She said she finds herself feeling alone amid surrounding chaos and hoped listeners would feel "the hope I feel when I sing them."
