Diiv have shared a new song, "Kid," featuring a music video directed by Jaxon Whittington. The director enlisted Roy, the son of Diiv frontperson Zachary Cole Smith, and his friend Julian as filmmakers for the project.
The track arrives ahead of the band's forthcoming album ZIRP!, produced by A. G. Cook. The album, whose title stands for "zero interest rate policies," is scheduled for release October 30 via Fantasy Records as a follow-up to Frog in Boiling Water.
Diiv will tour North America and Europe beginning late this month, starting with a show at São Paulo's Balaclava Fest in Brazil. Tour dates include a November appearance at Pitchfork Paris.
