Aidan O'Brien's four-time Group 1 winner Precise takes on More Thunder and Zeus Olympios in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville on Sunday. Precise built her record with Group 1 victories at two years old before winning the Irish 1000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes. She has been beaten twice in open company, both times by Blue Bolt.
More Thunder seeks to reverse the form against Zeus Olympios, who was best when the pair last met in the Summer Mile at Ascot. More Thunder, trained by William Haggas, was twice second in Group 1 company and will be seeking a first victory at that level. Karl Burke's Zeus Olympios, ridden by Sam James in the Summer Mile, will also be pursuing a top-level breakthrough.
Thesecretadversary, a recent Group 1 winner in the Prix Jean Prat who took the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, was originally targeted at the City Of York Stakes before being rerouted. Rayif represents French interests but must bounce back after disappointing as a 6-4 favourite in the Prix Jean Prat, though the return to a mile distance after winning the French 2000 Guineas could prove beneficial.
Avec Toi faces just four runners in the Group 3 Prix Francois Boutin. Christopher Head's son of No Nay Never, trained for the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere in October, arrives with two wins from as many starts following a debut victory at Saint-Cloud and a recent win at Deauville. Silver Dominion brings stakes form after finishing second in the Pat Eddery Stakes.
