Birmingham Phoenix defeated MI London by four wickets in a match that determined which team would finish seventh in the women's Hundred. Ellyse Perry scored an unbeaten 62 from 39 balls as Phoenix successfully chased a target of 122, finishing with six balls remaining.
Phoenix had lost three consecutive matches before the fixture but recovered with support from Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana, who contributed 36 from 32 balls in a fifth-wicket partnership of 66. MI London, bidding for a win in their opening fixture, slipped to 48-4 after early losses including England duo Alice Capsey and Emma Lamb, with Kirstie Gordon taking 2-20 with her left-arm spin.
MI London's innings deteriorated after winning the toss and choosing to bat. Hollie Armitage (31) and Chinelle Henry (42) provided brief resistance with a 56-run fifth-wicket stand, but Eva Gray took 2-29 to help restrict the visitors to 120-6. The defeat left MI London with six losses from their campaign.
In the other women's match, Welsh Fire defeated London Spirit by 15 runs at Sophia Gardens. Georgia Wareham's half-century helped Fire to 138-7, and Grace Harris claimed 3-15 with the ball. London Spirit were dismissed for 123 after losing Harris and Marie Kelly in successive deliveries early in their chase, with Orla Prendergast, Heather Graham and Sophia Smale taking two wickets each.
