Access to broader markets has become key for Pertamina-backed SMEs to develop. Throughout the first half of 2026, SMEs participating in various regional, national, and international exhibitions recorded revenue of Rp 8.57 billion.

Exhibitions provide more than just transaction opportunities for small and medium-sized business operators. These events serve as a space to introduce products, meet potential buyers and business partners, open collaborative networks, and test product competitiveness in wider markets, according to Pertamina.

By the end of June 2026, Pertamina had facilitated 2,822 certifications for its supported SMEs. Meanwhile, the company conducted 579 training sessions through Pertamina's State-Owned Enterprise House, covering digital marketing, legality, product quality improvement, and business management. Supported SMEs were also facilitated to participate in 414 exhibitions on regional, national, and international scales, including Food & Hospitality Indonesia, Indonesia International Furniture Expo, Indonesia International Motor Show, and INACRAFT 2026.

Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina Muhammad Baron said the support was designed to open opportunities for SMEs to develop their businesses independently. "Understanding the limited space to grow faced by business operators, Pertamina helps SMEs obtain certificates and legality, open market access, expand networks, and create new opportunities," Baron said.

SME development also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the goals on decent work and economic growth and industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Through an increasingly open ecosystem, SMEs are expected to increase sales and grow into stronger and more competitive businesses.
