NASA announced a student challenge asking U.S.-based collegiate teams to submit original concepts for the 2027 edition of its Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts – Academic Linkage (RASC-AL) competition. The competition focuses on aerospace innovation that could help the agency develop technologies for future Moon operations.

Student teams are invited to explore new operations paradigms and advance technologies needed for lunar exploration. The agency said the competition aims to help NASA envision how new technology could shape future activities on the Moon.
