Andika Mahesa, vocalist of Kangen Band, is being treated in hospital and shared a moment lying in a hospital bed through his Instagram Story on Saturday (8/8). Andika did not explain the illness or health condition he was experiencing, but included a rendition of a song about recovery in the video he uploaded.

This situation caused Andika to miss performing on the Sounds Project 2026 festival stage with Kangen Band on the same day. His position as vocalist was then taken over by Praz Teguh, according to detikHot's reporting.

Through a post on social media, Praz Teguh showed the stage atmosphere which displayed a video of Andika lying in a hospital bed with a breathing tube. "Please pray for my quick recovery," Andika said in the video.

Praz Teguh explained that he was asked to help Kangen Band after Andika was unable to perform. He initially declined because he still had many activities and had not made music for a long time, but ultimately went on stage with whatever energy he had. Andika responded by thanking Praz Teguh for his help through social media.

Kangen Band fans, known as Doy, also prayed for the vocalist's recovery through their posts while watching Praz Teguh's performance. So far there is no further information regarding Andika's state of health.
