Julia Jacklin has covered Sugar Ray's single "Every Morning" for Triple J. The Australian singer-songwriter recorded a version that takes a slower approach than the original late '90s track.

Jacklin said she has enjoyed the song since childhood. "I love any way to connect with my younger self as much as I can," she said. "The song just makes me feel grateful to be alive. It makes me connected to the source of life."

Jacklin is preparing to release her next album, The Gem, on September 25 through her new label, 4AD. She named the LP after a pub in Melbourne, where she recorded it with her band.
