Frankie's Organic, based in Laval, Quebec, is recalling 94 cases of its Plant-Based Vegan Cheddar Puffs because the product may contain undeclared milk. People with milk allergies or severe sensitivities face the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the affected snacks.

The recall was initiated following two complaints of allergic reactions to related products sold in Canada. The company said the root cause was traced to an allergen-containing ingredient at the supplier level of a seasoning used in the product.

The affected product carries a "Best If Used By" date of 05 16 2027. It can be found at PCC Markets in Washington State and Earth Fare Stores in Florida and South Carolina, as well as at select independent retailers in those regions. Frankie's Organic said it is working with three distribution centers to ensure remaining inventory is removed from circulation. No other Frankie's Organic products are impacted by the recall.

Consumers should check their pantries and discard the recalled puffs or return them to their point of purchase for a full refund. Frankie's Organic said it is implementing corrective actions following its investigation. The company can be reached at 1-800-363-8209 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
