The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that weather across most of Indonesia on Monday will be dominated by cloudy to light rainy conditions. BMKG forecaster Miftah Ali said western Indonesia is expected to experience potential light rain in Medan, Pekanbaru, and Serang.
Most other cities in western Indonesia are expected to be dominated by cloudy to very cloudy conditions. BMKG projects cloudy weather will cover Banda Aceh, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Pangkalpinang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Pontianak, and Banjarmasin.
In addition to clouds and rainfall, BMKG also warns of potential haze or mist in Tanjung Selor, as well as hazy air in Palembang, Bandar Lampung, Yogyakarta, Palangka Raya, and Samarinda. In eastern Indonesia, BMKG issued an early warning regarding potential extreme weather with thunderstorm potential in Jayawijaya and Merauke.
Light rainfall is also forecast to occur in Mataram, Nabire, and Jayapura. Meanwhile, clear to cloudy weather conditions, potentially dominated by very cloudy skies, are expected across Denpasar, Kupang, Makassar, Mamuju, Kendari, Palu, Gorontalo, Manado, Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, and Manokwari.
