Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa revealed that President Prabowo Subianto is planning for some of the profits from the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) to become a reserve for the State Budget (APBN). Purbaya stated that this plan is still under discussion with Danantara.
"The President is planning to set aside some of the profits as a reserve for the APBN," Purbaya told reporters at the Finance Ministry office in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/8). The government has yet to set a target for Danantara's contribution to economic growth or investment in the 2027 APBN, he added.
When asked about the possibility of Danantara's profits entering the APBN through the Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) line item from Separated State Assets (KND), Purbaya said the mechanism has not yet been decided. "We'll see about that later, it's just an idea for now," he said.
The amendment to the State-Owned Enterprises Law through Law No. 1 of 2025 brought the management of red-plate companies into the Danantara scheme and changed the mechanism for managing state-owned enterprise dividends. Previously, state-owned enterprise dividends entered the APBN as Non-Tax State Revenue from Separated State Assets, but now their management falls under the Danantara scheme, which allows part of state-owned enterprise profits to be reinvested and used for asset development.
This change has shifted the relationship pattern between state-owned enterprise dividends, Danantara, and the APBN compared to the past. The government no longer relies solely on state-owned enterprise dividends as state revenue, but also has the potential to receive income from the management of assets and investments carried out by Danantara. The scale of Danantara's contribution and the mechanism for recording it in the APBN are still awaiting further discussion.
