Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated that the Indonesian and Brazilian governments are considering the establishment of an Indonesia-Mercosur Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) as a pragmatic step to strengthen trade relations between Indonesia and the Mercosur trading bloc.

Labour Minister Yassierli said the transformation of occupational safety and health centres (K3) across Indonesia would serve as the frontline in efforts to prevent workplace accidents. Meanwhile, the Center of Economic and Law Studies (Celios) assessed that labour-intensive programmes are able to create jobs and boost the economy down to the village level.

The government continues to strengthen Red and White Cooperatives as drivers of village economics with a target to complete 30,000 units of Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDMP) by 16 August 2026.

Head of the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Probolinggo Regency, East Java, Heri Mulyadi stated that tourist destinations around Mount Bromo remain safe for visitors to travel to despite land fires that have occurred.
