Banyumas Police will hand over the case involving the death of Sutrimo, described as household head of former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah, to Jakarta Metro Police. Banyumas Police Chief Senior Commissioner Petrus Silalahi said his office has coordinated with Jakarta Metro Police regarding the family's report of irregularities in Sutrimo's death.
"Based on the series of statements we obtained, we are coordinating with investigators from Jakarta Metro Police and will then submit the report to Jakarta Metro Police," Petrus said on Sunday. Petrus said the examination of the report is currently in its initial stages and the handover will be done soon so that the case handling process moves faster.
The report was previously received through the Banyumas Police's Integrated Police Service Centre, filed by Suting, the deceased's sibling, and his child Abhi on Saturday night. Both are authorised representatives of Sutrimo's heirs to file the report.
Meanwhile, investigators from Jakarta Metro Police will conduct an exhumation of Sutrimo's remains. Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Pol Budi Hermanto said the exhumation process is being prepared. The exhumation is being conducted to reconfirm the death case which is deemed irregular.
