Dani Ceballos, Joselu and Dani Carvajal, who all played roles in Real Madrid's 2024 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund, remain without club contracts ahead of the summer transfer window closing on September 1. All three are now free agents.

Ceballos and Carvajal both saw their Real Madrid contracts expire on July 1. Ceballos, 30, has been waiting for an option with Real Betis and has rejected other approaches. Carvajal, 34 and the club's former captain, has not been involved in any known negotiations, according to reports.

Joselu, 36, completed a two-year contract with Saudi club Al Gharafa and is seeking a new offer that appeals to him. Officials said the striker has not yet received a proposal he finds satisfactory.

The three players are free to sign with any team at any time, which technically removes transfer window restrictions. However, their lack of concrete moves or interest during the summer has marked a stark change from their status as European champions just months earlier.
