Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV has arrived in response to market demand for a vehicle offering fuel efficiency, driving comfort, and long-term reliability. This hybrid car is produced locally by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) and represents Mitsubishi Motors' first electrified vehicle in Indonesia to be manufactured domestically.

At the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 exhibition held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang (30 July–9 August 2026), PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) recorded 3,212 vehicle order letters (SPK), surpassing the set target. The Xforce New HEV contributed more than 1,000 units in sales since its introduction on 16 July through the closing of the exhibition.

MMKSI President Director Atsushi Kurita stated that the figure represents a positive signal of public confidence in Mitsubishi Motors. Before the exhibition opened, national racing driver Rifat Sungkar and navigator Juju Margono tested the Xforce HEV by driving it from Jakarta to Bali, covering 1,172 kilometres on just one tank of fuel with a capacity of 42 litres. The test was conducted twice to ensure consistency of results.

In the test, Mitsubishi Xforce HEV recorded consumption of approximately 27.9 kilometres per litre at an average speed of 70–80 kilometres per hour. Rifat explained that driving speed varied according to road conditions, including moments of driving up to 120 kilometres per hour.

Based on calculations for commuting consumers travelling 55 kilometres round-trip daily from Summarecon Bekasi to South Jakarta, with an assumed consumption of 22 kilometres per litre, fuel consumption reaches approximately 2.5 litres per day. At a Pertamax 92 price of Rp15,950 per litre, monthly fuel costs for 22 working days would be around Rp877,250. These calculations may change according to fuel prices, distance travelled, traffic conditions, and driving habits.
