Kettle Cuisine LLC of Savage, Maryland is recalling Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit in 14-ounce packages due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the company said. The organism can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea in healthy individuals. The bacteria can also cause miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women.

The recalled product was distributed from June 30 through July 7, 2026, to select Walmart stores in 30 states, according to the company. The product is packaged in a wrapped tray with a printed use-by code identifier.

The company said it has received no confirmed reports of illnesses associated with the product. The recall was initiated after routine company testing produced a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes. The company is continuing its investigation in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration.

Consumers with questions may contact the Kettle Cuisine hotline at 617-409-1104 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.
