Johor Darul Ta'zim held Chelsea to a 3-3 draw in a hard-fought friendly match at Sultan Ibrahim Larkin Stadium on Sunday evening. Altercations broke out both on the pitch and near the substitute benches during the match.

JDT scored first in the 14th minute through Arif Aiman, who finished a measured pass from Marcos Guilherme from the left side of the penalty box. Chelsea levelled 1-1 in the 42nd minute when Liam Delap converted a penalty kick.

Delap scored his second goal from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute to make it 2-1 for Chelsea. JDT quickly equalised in the 65th minute through a free kick by Oscar Arribas.

Three minutes after Arribas's goal, an altercation erupted on the pitch after JDT defender Antonio Glauder made a hard tackle on Delap. Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo responded by approaching Glauder, and pushing ensued between players of both teams. Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson was seen grabbing Glauder by the back of the neck, while Chelsea set-piece coach Austin MacPhee clashed verbally with JDT's coaching staff. The referee issued Glauder a yellow card for the offence.

Bergson gave JDT a 3-2 advantage in the 86th minute with a low drive. Chelsea equalised to 3-3 when JDT defender Cristobal Marquez scored an own goal. The score remained unchanged until the final whistle.
