Fox has ordered a new live-action comedy series titled "Mammoth," created by "Modern Family" co-creator Christopher Lloyd and executive producer and writer Danny Zuker. The show is based on Mike Bubbins' British sitcom of the same name.

The series follows Coach Tony Mammoth, a high school gym teacher who is buried in a ski avalanche in 1983 and thaws out forty years later to find the world has dramatically changed. Though convinced the world did not need to evolve, Mammoth returns to his former job while struggling to adapt to modern rules, relationships, and realities.

"Mammoth" is scheduled to debut on Fox during the 2027-2028 season, marking the network's first live-action comedy series greenlight in more than two years. The show is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios, with Lloyd and Zuker serving as writers, showrunners, and executive producers. Mark Linsey and Angie Stephenson of BBC Studios Los Angeles, as well as Bubbins, are also executive producers.
