Transjakarta has launched a special service route connecting Bundaran Senayan with Ancol in North Jakarta every Sunday during the Car Free Day (Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor) with a fare of Rp3,500. At the inaugural launch at Bundaran HI in Central Jakarta, residents received a special fare of Rp1.

"TransJakarta from Bundaran Senayan to Ancol costs Rp1 today, but once it's up and running, it will use the regular fare of Rp3,500," said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung. The service was opened to provide an alternative public transport option for residents engaged in activities during Car Free Day.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Budi Awaluddin said the service is a satellite service that operates only on Sundays during Car Free Day, with operating hours from 06.00 to 10.00 WIB. The service connects Bundaran Senayan with Bundaran Symphony of the Sea in the Ancol area with a route length of approximately 34.9 kilometres, 18 stops, and a travel time of approximately 142 minutes for one full trip.

The special route operates seven electric buses of the EV High-Deck type with departures every 15 to 20 minutes, passing through Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Ir. H Juanda, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Jalan RE Martadinata, and up to Jalan Ancol. The Jakarta Provincial Government also provides free entry to the Ancol area for passengers using the Transjakarta service, with buses able to enter the area directly without needing to purchase an entry ticket.
