The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has approved results from the evaluation of companies providing services to international pilgrims during the 2026 hajj season. The ministry said the step is part of its continuing effort to improve services, enhance quality, and strengthen transparency in assessing service providers' performance, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The evaluation covered companies contracted by pilgrims affairs offices, companies contracted by affiliated tour operators, and companies operating under a direct hajj model. According to the ministry, firms in each category have been sorted into three tiers based on approved evaluation results: Outstanding Performance, Very Good Performance, and Good Performance.
The ministry said evaluations are updated annually following each hajj season using two main criteria: Compliance and Adherence, weighted at 60 percent, and Quality of Service Performance, weighted at 40 percent. Assessments are based on field monitoring, documented data and evidence, and pilgrim satisfaction surveys, the ministry said. The process also includes receiving, reviewing, and resolving complaints before final results are approved.
The ministry said publishing the evaluation results reflects its commitment to transparency and ensuring stakeholders have information about service provider performance. The move is also intended to encourage providers to improve performance and increase service quality, the ministry said, while fostering positive competition among service providers and promoting best operational practices.
The complete evaluation results are available on the ministry's website at https://haj.gov.sa/ApprovalOfServiceProvider, according to the ministry.
