The Port Authority and Harbour Master's Office (KSOP) Class III Labuan Bajo said it would take strict action against the vessel that took Jessica Mila's entourage to Padar Island and Komodo while sailing routes to the area were closed. Head of KSOP Class III Labuan Bajo, Stefanus Risdiyanto, said the sailing ban was imposed for the safety of life and there are no exceptions, whether for ordinary tourist vessels or vessels carrying public figures or celebrities.

KSOP imposed a temporary closure of sailing to Padar Island and Komodo Harbour from 7 August 2026 based on maritime weather forecasts from the BMKG Maritime Meteorology Station Tenau Kupang. According to the forecast, wind speeds were projected to reach 26 knots from the southeast with wave heights up to 2.6 metres. The closure was in effect from 7 to 10 August 2026, and sailing permission letters (SPB) for tourist vessels could only be issued for destinations to Rinca Island.

The vessel carrying Jessica Mila, named Maloekoe, did not have a sailing permission letter for Padar Island and Komodo at the time of the incident, according to Stefanus. Stefanus said the vessel's SPB was only for Rinca Island, which was still considered safe. According to KSOP's identification, two vessels were suspected of violating the ban: Yacht Grand Maloekoe and Vessel Neptune, with one more vessel still under investigation for identification.

KSOP has summoned the captains of the tourist vessels and will impose sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations. Stefanus said the level of sanction would be adjusted to the degree of the captain's violation, including consideration of any previous violation history, whether there was coercion from other parties, and the disciplinary record during employment. Sanctions imposed can be severe and include suspension of licence.

To date, there has been no comment or statement from Jessica Mila's entourage regarding their visit to Padar Island.
