A forest fire in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area in Pasuruan Regency, East Java, continues to spread. The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Authority has recorded that the burned area in the Mount Bromo region has now reached 520 hectares, up from the previous figure of 176 hectares.
Combined teams are conducting extinguishing operations via land and air routes. The extinguishing operation involves three helicopters, seven fire trucks, and a drone to help control the fire.
The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Authority is still in the process of collecting data to determine the actual extent of the burned area in the national park.
