Panache Digital Games announced that "1666: Amsterdam" will enter Early Access on Aug. 25. The dark, third-person narrative action-adventure game from "Assassin's Creed" creator Patrice Désilets unfolds across Amsterdam, where players take the role of Noa, the Collector, wielding witchcraft to uncover "Originals," demonic entities disguised as humans.
The Early Access version will be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store for $29.99. The initial release will feature the first portion of the campaign, with gameplay expected to take approximately 15 hours to complete.
The game's description states that players will "unravel a mystery that spans centuries" and "choose the companion that will walk beside you" while following clues in a city shaped by secrets, power and memory. The title showcases distinct playing styles for lead characters Noa and Aaron as they hunt Originals across the city, with mechanics including combat and a day and night cycle.
