Artificial intelligence (AI) platforms are now capable of generating posters for Indonesia's 17 August Independence Day celebrations based on text instructions or prompts. Several platforms can even produce complete designs with text and edit image sections that have already been created.

Users need only provide instructions containing the desired theme, composition, colours, text, and visual style. However, creating independence-themed posters requires extra attention because they may involve national symbols such as the Red and White flag and the Garuda Pancasila. AI-generated results still need to be checked before being used or published.

ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, Adobe Firefly, and Bing Image Creator are five platforms that can be used to create 17 August posters. Each platform has features to generate and edit images based on prompts, although results from the same prompt can differ on each platform because each uses different models and image processing systems.

The safest approach is not to ask AI to redraw the Garuda Pancasila. AI can be used to create illustrations, backgrounds, and poster composition, while the Garuda Pancasila symbol is inserted separately using official assets. If users still want to try making it with AI, they need to provide very specific instructions regarding the number of feathers, the shield, and the Pancasila symbols.

Users still need to check the poster after it is finished, including verifying the arrangement of flag colours, eliminating spelling errors in the text, and comparing national symbols with official assets. For elements requiring high precision such as the Garuda Pancasila and the official RI Independence Day logo, the use of official files inserted manually remains the safest option.
