The wedding took place on 11 August 2026, exactly one year after Georgina announced their engagement by posting a photo of a large diamond ring and writing: "Yes, I agree.. in this life and in every life of mine." Georgina is the girlfriend of Al-Nassr Saudi captain, referring to Ronaldo's position at the club.
The announcement ended weeks of speculation about the timing and location of their wedding. Earlier reports had mentioned plans for a grand ceremony at Funchal Cathedral on the island of Madeira, Ronaldo's birthplace, which caused hundreds of fans to gather outside it. However, the wedding eventually took place quietly in Cascais.
