Pariaman City Government in West Sumatra has realised the use of Transfer to Regions (Dana Transfer ke Daerah/TKD) funds of Rp19.5 billion, or 21.1 per cent of the total allocation of Rp92.4 billion. These funds were focused on repairing infrastructure damaged by hydrometeorological disasters that occurred at the end of 2025.
Rudy Repenaldi Rilis, Head of the Financial Management and Regional Revenue Agency of Pariaman City, stated that this realisation was part of accelerating infrastructure recovery. The repairs include the improvement of roads and evacuation routes, said Rudy on Tuesday (11/8) in Pariaman.
Budget realisation shows significant acceleration compared to the previous period. By the end of July 2026, fund absorption had only reached Rp6.2 billion or approximately 6.7 per cent, but has now jumped to 21.1 per cent as the regional government focuses on utilising additional fiscal resources from the central government.
TKD allocation is not only for repair of damage but also for disaster mitigation in the future. Of the total Rp92.4 billion, the largest allocation was for the infrastructure sector at Rp53.1 billion, followed by health at Rp4.2 billion, agriculture at Rp2 billion, and the remainder of Rp32.2 billion for other needs. All budget use is targeted for completion by the end of the year in accordance with the established programme.
Pariaman City is among the beneficiary areas of the central government's policy to return TKD funds to three provinces in Sumatra with a total value of Rp10.6 trillion. The allocation for West Sumatra and its 19 regencies/cities reached Rp2.7 trillion.
