A forest and land fire continued to spread in the Bromo Caldera area on Sunday. The government responded by closing all tourist access to the Mount Bromo region in East Java.
So far the fire has destroyed at least 176 hectares of the Bromo area. Authorities suspect the fire was triggered by human activity based on the location of the initial fire point in the Bantengan-Jantur Block hills.
