Cadillac have sacked team principal Graeme Lowdon and appointed Marcin Budkowski as his replacement. The team described the move as a "planned leadership transition."
Budkowski, 49, is a Polish engineer whose most recent F1 role was as Alpine executive director, a position he left in 2022. He will take charge of Cadillac ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix from August 21-23, when the season resumes after a four-week summer break.
Cadillac remain the only team without a point after 11 rounds of the 2026 season. Lowdon was appointed team principal in December 2024 and oversaw the team's arrival on the grid, assembling a driver pairing of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.
Dan Towris, Cadillac F1 team chief executive, said Budkowski brings "exceptional F1 experience, technical expertise and strategic leadership" needed to develop "a next-generation team capable of competing at the very front." Towris added that Cadillac was "grateful to Graeme Lowdon for his leadership and the role he played in forming the Cadillac Formula 1 Team from the ground up," saying his contributions "helped establish a strong foundation."
