NASA astronauts Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Reid Wiseman, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen received the Congressional Space Medal of Honor on Aug. 28, 2026, from President Donald J. Trump for their service during the Artemis II mission.

Congress authorized the Congressional Space Medal of Honor in 1969 to recognize astronauts who distinguish themselves through exceptionally brave and meritorious efforts and contributions to the welfare of the nation and humanity. The award now has 34 recipients since the beginning of the space program, including the crews of Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia, who received the medal posthumously.
