A regional economic forum has agreed on a supply chain cooperation framework covering logistics data exchange among member states.
The framework also includes plans to simplify customs documentation for certain commodities, long seen as slowing the flow of goods at major ports.
Private sector representatives welcomed the plan but sought clarity on technical standards for data exchange so national systems can interconnect.
Technical-level meetings are scheduled over the coming months to draft implementation guidelines.
