Veda Ega Pratama made a good start from 15th position and managed to jump to 11th place after the start of the 2026 British Moto3. However, the rider's progress then slowed, although early in the final lap he reached seventh position before eventually finishing in ninth place.

PSV Eindhoven defender Ryan Flamingo acknowledged his anger over a blunder he made when his team drew 2-2 with Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch league. The goal scored by Ole Romeny in the 42nd minute came from Flamingo's weak header to goalkeeper Matej Kovar, allowing Romeny to take possession and score his debut goal.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has denied through his spokesman the allegation that he paid a woman to leave UEFA. FIFA's spokesman stated that Infantino firmly rejected the allegation, clarifying that the woman in question was not his mistress and the payment was ordinary severance. According to Sky Sports, the spokesman told the Daily Telegraph that Infantino denied the report, which he considered completely false.
