The festival organising committee has announced plans to hold the next Ubud Village Jazz Festival on 6-7 August 2027, following the announcement made at the end of the 2026 festival on Saturday evening at STHALA Ubud Bali. According to a press release received in Jakarta on Sunday, the festival will be held over two days across three interconnected stage areas: Community Stage, Giri Stage, and Subak Stage.
Ten performances will take place on the festival's second day from afternoon into the evening. Performances begin at 16.30 WITA with Westside Vinyl DeeJays at Community Stage and JZ.KA Trio at Subak Stage. JZ.KA Trio, comprising Putu Angelika on piano and vocals, Jesse Adiputra on drums, and Samuel Pardosi on double bass, performs as the face of Generation Z in Bali's jazz scene.
The JZ.KA Trio performance is part of the preservation of Jazzistry programme, which aims to provide a platform for talented young Indonesian musicians. "I'm happy to be able to learn jazz music. I fell in love with jazz, and it feels like there's still so much I can learn from it," said Putu Angelika.
Other performers at the festival closing include Koko Harsoe & SAN Trio, Watchdog from France, Pong Nakornchai Ensemble, Dodot Trio, String Corner Project, H ZETTRIO, Jadi Peperzak Quartet, and Salamander Big Band. Dodot Trio will perform works from their debut album entitled The Story of White Piano, while Watchdog will showcase compositions from their latest album, Fables.
The Ubud Village Jazz Festival has been held 13 times and will be held again next year.
