A solo traveler in Egypt was helped by two strangers when a taxi driver became aggressive and demanded more money, according to an account in the kindness of strangers series. The traveler, who was 25 at the time, had arrived in Dahab after an overnight bus journey from Cairo and needed to take a shared taxi into town at about 3am.
The driver wanted additional payment beyond the agreed fare. When the traveler reached for their wallet to comply, the two men intervened and told them to put it away, according to the account.
