A song from Taylor Swift's Folklore album (2020) that featured in a Donald Trump campaign video has disappeared and is no longer playable as of Friday night, according to reports from Variety.
The video showed Donald and Melania Trump watching fireworks from a balcony. Trump's campaign team accompanied the post with a caption that pointedly taunted the musician, claiming that Swift would be pleased to have her song used to support their movement.
Followers of the Trump campaign account immediately noticed the removal of the music access. The incident has heightened tensions between Trump's campaign team and Taylor Swift.
About a month earlier, Trump faced criticism for sharing artificially generated images that incorrectly depicted Swift giving him political support. One of the images showed Swift in a style resembling Uncle Sam with a message encouraging people to vote for Trump.
When asked about the potential for legal action from Swift in an interview on Fox Business, Trump said he was not concerned, saying he believed the manipulated material was created by someone else.
