Rod Stewart has canceled the next four weeks of performances on his "One Last Time" farewell tour and "The Encore Shows" Las Vegas residency after undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure. A representative for Stewart, 81, said that doctors were "pleased with his recovery" and that the singer had returned to normal daily activities.
"I'm already feeling better and very much on the mend," Stewart said in a statement, adding that he was "deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down" but looked forward to returning to the stage.
The cancellation comes after Stewart postponed a performance at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center last week, citing a "minor medical procedure." The postponement affects upcoming shows at Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Kansas City's Morton Amphitheater, as well as a planned Las Vegas residency beginning August 18 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Stewart has been touring with Richard Marx since 2024. In early June, he canceled two Las Vegas performances and another show in San Diego before curtain, and paused mid-performance in Utah to use an oxygen tank backstage. Venues and promoters will provide information about the affected dates.
