Good Good Golf has withdrawn as title sponsor of a PGA Tour event in Austin scheduled for November after facing backlash over a controversial video published last week. The video, which promoted a new Callaway driver, depicted a man shoving a woman to the ground and warning her not to touch the club.
Good Good Golf apologised in a statement on Thursday and said it had "work to do as an organisation". The company said it decided to step away from sponsoring the event "after thoughtful discussion with the PGA Tour and careful reflection" and that its focus was "on our team, our culture and ensuring we learn from this situation".
Callaway Golf, which reposted the video, ended its relationship with Good Good Golf with immediate effect. The equipment manufacturer said it would donate $1 million to organisations working to prevent violence against women and provide resources to survivors. Callaway said it had "heard from individuals who shared personal experiences related to violence against women" and that "violence against women is unacceptable and should never be trivialised, normalised, or used as entertainment".
The PGA Tour said it agreed with Good Good Golf's decision to step away. A statement noted the tournament would continue as scheduled from November 12-15, 2026, with an update on sponsorship plans to follow. Good Good Golf, a YouTube channel launched in 2020, is among the largest content creators in golf.
